We believe that every child has the right to have a voice!
For 60 years the Montreal Oral School for the Deaf (MOSD) has been a leader in the auditory and verbal education of children with hearing loss.
The organization offers its services free of charge to hard of hearing kids in the Montreal area. Its specialized services are made possible through a combination of government support and generous gifts from the private sector.
The MOSD includes a parent-infant program for babies diagnosed with hearing loss, a therapeutic nursery program for preschoolers and specialized classes for hard of hearing students from kindergarten through grade 6.
In addition, the school offers support to students who opt to be educated alongside normally-hearing children.
The MOSD offers equipment and audiologists to monitor changes in a child’s ability to hear and for the evaluation of its student’ sound-enhancing technology such as hearing aids and cochlear implants.
